Hawai'i: Our Resort

This has been way overdue, but I am finally getting around to it...s-l-o-w-l-y. There should be a flutter of posts coming about as I scurry to edit our Hawai'ian babymoon photos and get them up for everyone to see (because you all do want to see them right?).

First post - our resort! Jan. 17 seems so long ago - but that was the day we flew out of arctic Edmonton and landed in sunny Mau'i (the apostrophe is like an accent...I'd have to post a sound clip of me saying it for you to hear the difference...lol). I believe this is my first trip where we've stayed in a super lush hotel room - Honua Kai in Ka'anaapali. The room (more like a condo suite) had two sinks (*drool*), a tub, a shower, in-house laundry, a huge lanai (balcony), ample living space (for 2)...it was luxurious - and we definitely enjoyed it.



The last two pics are just a few (of the many!) I took of details around the property - I didn't want to bore you all with all the photos!

I think this is a lotus flower? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was gorgeous! No editing whatsoever was done to this photo - incredible lens that I love :)



This was my first attempt playing with photographing waterfalls...so cliche, but I just had to try to get that "stream" look that is so prevalent in magazines and such. You have to start somewhere they say!
