With this change, and complete nesting ritual of constant cleaning and organizing (how much organizing does one person do in their lifetime, I wonder?), my beloved scrapbook room has been demoted to the dungeon which is our unfinished basement. I will miss the warmth, the soft fuzziness of the carpet on my soles, and being upstairs where no vampires and ghouls reside (and most of all, spiders!).
Ok, it honestly isn't that bad. I can now say that I have scrapped on all levels of our house, and in a sense, our house thus has been creatively christened - lol.
This is what the disaster that used to be at the kitchen table looked like in the second room upstairs...
Don't get me wrong, my set up downstairs is actually better than what I had before, as I now have more counter space and storage space, and the furniture kind of match (old teak furniture). I have a space behind me to place my Cricut and my Cuttlebug, my music, and any and all scrapbooking paraphernalia. I just don't like that spiders may be lurking in the corners or above my head, or that it's so "cold" feeling downstairs and not homey and comfortable. Ah well. What I will live with until we can afford to finish our basement.

I also need to move my computer downstairs, so I need to figure out a space for that soon - weekend project! The next question that begs to be asked is...what do we do with all the space in our nursery now?! We have our dresser/change table and convertible crib in there, and there is still TONS of space. I really have no idea. I guess it will just be super roomy. Anyways, still time to figure that out! Phewf!
Have a good night. I have become a major night owl now that I cannot sleep through the night!
Hey Miranda,
ReplyDeleteThat actually looks like a pretty decent scrapbooking room! Glad to see things are going well! Get as organized as you can before baby comes.
