Opening "Pandora's" Box

No...I don't mean that I have unleashed all ill will and turmoil...haha, I mean that I am the proud new loving owner of a Pandora charm bracelet and it is a dangerous new addiction having one because all those charms are so darn cute (I guess I did unleash turmoil on my purse strings perhaps)! So I started myself off with 3 charms - the first being a round charm with mother of pearl hearts (just cause), a purple cubic zirconia in silver (wedding colors/fav color on earth), and a dog charm (Keeva!). I bought them from Lyndale Accents, one of my all-time favorite home decor (and just about everything) store! If you haven't been there yet, I urge you to check it out - you will fall in love. Or perhaps being a shopaholic makes you fall in love with everything. My dad did always say when I was growing up that I rarely just loved one thing (aside from my one true love of course...Joe, not shopping in this instance, lol). For example, we'd be driving in the car and a song would come on and I would exclaim "I love this song!", and then another one would come on and I would say the same thing, and on it goes.

Anyways, I think charm bracelets are a super fab idea - each bracelet is completely unique to that of the wearer, with charms symbolizing special events/milestones/moments and has such meaning to the person wearing it. Plus did I mention the charms are super cute!! Ok...enough about that!

So for our wedding shower (as I had mentioned in the previous post)at the lake, we received from family a chain link kennel for Keeva. It's huge, 8 ft x 20 ft! She has tons of room to run around in and it gives us peace of mine that she's not cooped up in her indoor kennel and no one can take her. We just can't wait to put down the patio stones so that she can be out there come rain, snow or shine.

I've been busy scrapbooking and making cards the last couple months, and having a few showers to attend this summer, I decided to make a couple shower cards into the shape of a wedding dress, and I must say, it turned out fabulous! Next up are grad and wedding cards. I better go start preparing dinner however - gotta make sure the family is fed right? We're having chicken souvlaki, roast potatoes, and a salad tonight. Yum!

They don't Lie when they say Time Flies

Wow - how did the last two months fly by without me noticing? Are we really halfway through the year? The last two months have been so busy with work, wedding planning (and the start of the wedding craze for the summer!) and the daily grind of life :) Joe and I have also attempted to complete our back yard before summer is over - we were doing great until this rain and snow hit! I mean...snow at the end of May?! Ay! The weather is supposed to improve by next week and already I've filled it with many to-dos, from margarita sipping with friends on a deck to completing my various wedding projects I MUST complete before our big day (and I took on many!) to completing our yard...and somewhere in the middle, attempt to clean our home. Keeva is shedding like crazy - I guess it's what they call "blowing their coats!" Joe used to think I lost alot of my hair (sounds gross huh?), but Keeva is definitely giving me a run for my money. lol.

We had our engagement shoot a couple weekends ago and our wedding shower out at the lake (thrown by Joe's awesome aunties and uncles and his parents). Here were the teasers Kat (from Katch Studios - check out their blog/website!) gave us for our engagement session. Are they simply amazing or what?! More pictures of the past little while to come. Keeping a blog up to date is hard when there is so much going on!
